This past Sunday, my church's Re-opening Task Force met via Zoom and voted overwhelmingly to return to in-person worship on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021. Naturally, face masks and other safety measures will be required of those in attendance. We will hum instead of sing, and there will be no coffee hour following the service. This is bittersweet for me. I am very much looking forward to being with the congregation again.
But I don't feel that I'll actually be with them, since so much of what we used to take for granted on Sunday mornings will be missing. I'm hoping that by summer, we can return to normal.
