Long ago you laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.
✙ Psalm 102:25

From before the big bang until the end of time, God is God—always has been and always will be. To many, the world seems chaotic right now, and it's easy to believe in a God who set things in motion and then abandoned them to wind down on their own. But the person of faith seeks God's presence in all things, and tries to understand God's will in even the most difficult situations.✙
The Bible describes a God who loved us before all things, who sent a Son to deliver us from all that would come between us and that love, and a Holy Spirit who would strengthen us to the end. While I need to take seriously the problems facing the world today, because of my faith, I am able to respond not out of fear or hate, but as a child of the Most High, secure in my place in a family that will never be complete until all are invited in. Today I can act, not react.

He will also strengthen you to the end, so that you may be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Prayer after thinking about today's devotion:
✙
Thank you, O God, for your abiding presence. Help me to view the difficulties that surround me through the lens of your love; in Jesus' Name.
✙
After your own thanksgivings & petitions, close with the Lord's Prayer. ✙
