Four reasons why I wear my mask when I'm in public:
- Humility. I don't know if I have COVID as it is clear that people can spread the disease before they have symptoms.
- Kindness. I don't know if the person I am near is in an at-risk category, has a kid battling cancer, or cares for their elderly parent.
- Community. I want my community to thrive, businesses and religious centers to stay open, and employees to stay healthy. Keeping a lid on COVID helps us all.
- Prevention. I would rather do all I can to help slow the spread (even if it's determined later that it was not needed) than to do less and cause harm.
