Today is the second day of the
Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. The song on my mind is Bob Gillman's praise chorus,
Bind Us Together:
Bind us together, Lord, bind us together
with cords that cannot be broken.
Bind us together, Lord, bind us together—
bind us together with love.
There is only one God, there is only one King;
there is only one body—that is why we sing:
Bind us together, Lord, bind us together
with cords that cannot be broken.
Bind us together, Lord, bind us together—
bind us together with love.
Back when I was in Puerto Rico, I translated this one (using
Ecclesiastes 4:12 and
